RMC Steps up with ISO 45001 & 14001

Having recently upgraded our Quality Standard from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, Rochester Midland decided it was time to take the plunge and go a step further, going for an accreditation in both health & safety and the environment.

With more clients looking for companies to prove their track records in both these areas, we decided to invite BSi in for a meeting to see what was involved. With regards to Health & Safety, Rochester Midland already have accreditations with Altius, SafeContractor, Constructionline, SM&S but it was time to get these rubber stamped with ISO45001.

The company is a firm believer in continuous improvement and as with our quality system, we wanted something to reflect the high standard of work carried out in the areas of Health & Safety and the Environment.

After working with the BSi auditing team for over a year and having all our procedures scrutinised, we were delighted to get the news that all was approved to the extremely high standards laid out by the BSi auditing team.

Leading the way, developing the procedures in preparation for the audits was Operations Manager, Stephen Biggs. As with the ISO 9001, Stephen’s commitment and drive has given the company something to be proud of and shows the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to raise the profile of the company.

The RMC Board of Directors are delighted with the news and cannot praise the Senior Management Team highly enough, particularly Stephen who has championed the cause.
